XM Choice — Most Inspiring Designers of BFW Fall 2019

Bridal Fashion Week in New York is one of the most exciting events in the wedding industry. Fall-Winter 2019 collections showed us inventive designs, in tune with the times, and, of course, we have our favourites!

Rime is one of my favourite modern bridal designers. Her creations are very relatable and always gorgeous — whether it’s her civil (short, more casual pieces), or main bridal collection. The new Fall 2019 ’Til Dance Do Us Part’  collection breathes freedom, romantic rebellious spirit, and oozes feminine sensuality. As always — gorgeous natural fabrics, delicate lace inserts, plus some playful ruffles.

Victor & Rolf are known for their 'no fluff’ approach, and create quite minimal, statement designs. Fall-Winter 2019 collection is no exception, with its sleek, architectural silhouettes. Some serious retro vibes + structural elements — pure love!

Leanne Marshall is a master of light flowing lines and watercolour waves. These gowns breathe and move, and, unlike it sometimes is with more complex designs, they allow brides to carry the dress and feel comfortable in it.

Intricacy, embellishments, and body-hugging silhouettes — signatures of Galia Lahav Haute Couture. This Fairytale inspired wedding dress collection looks almost like a second skin — intricate jewelled motifs create an illusion of being engraved into the body. Stunning as always!

Inbal Dror designs are a constant source for my inspiration. It’s always in details. The models walking the runway this fall looked like mystical goddesses: stars and waves embroidered on delicate silks and organza, floating around them, showing lots of skin, and lots of powerful female energy. Makes me want to go and create the whole story around a single dress!

Within the versatile, princess-focused collection, there were a few pieces that definitely stood out, including this coloured voluminous gown and lace bodysuit with a detachable embroidered train. Bold? Yes! Tempting? Definitely yes!

I never noticed Chantal Romano before, but this collection gave out such a strong Game of Thrones vibes to me that I had to focus-in! Embellished bodice and flared skirts — ultimate romantic suit of armour for the love warrior ?

I am definitely not an advocate of princess gowns, and Vera Wang is a queen of these, but this time — this time her collection is straight out of a fantasy. Love — golden tones, layered skirts, hugging bodice, — it’s like it’s straight out of a medieval romance fairytale!
